Where to stay in Cyprus – the perfect guide by a local! Born and raised in Cyprus, I’ve stayed in a LOT of hotels on the island. You see, I am obsessed with small getaways especially in periods where I don’t have time off to travel abroad – thankfully for me, Cyprus is simply paradise! Combine this, with 5 months of filming my travel show Tia Does Agrotourism, and you got yourself an expert in gorgeous hotels, agrotourism rooms, and village cottages!
So without further delay, let me show you my absolute FAVORITES on where to stay in Cyprus! Whether you are a local, or a tourist set to explore Cyprus, you will find this helpful I’m sure. Especially seeing as this is the question I get the most in my messages and emails from you guys! The second is about Cyprus taverns in the villages by the way – but don’t read that article when hungry – you might just cry!
Table of Contents
Where to stay in Cyprus – Nicosia District
Lyhnos – Askas Village
Lyhnos is simply… stunning! This luxurious accommodation only has 4 rooms to rent, so it gets booked up fast! The gorgeous house complex dates back to 200 years ago and used to belong to a wealthy and influential family in Askas. Nowadays, Lyhnos has been lovingly and respectfully fully restored – highlighting its beauties and illuminating it with a new light.
Gorgeous rooms with a sitting room, beautiful beds, and all modern comforts ideal for romantic getaways! The bathrooms are my favorite – with glass walls overlooking the picturesque village, fireplace and private indoor jacuzzi. Gorgeous!
Casale Panayiotis – Kalopanayiotis Village
Casale Panayiotis – is a luxury award-winning hotel resort and spa retreat that belongs to the ex community council president of the village. This man has single-handedly helped revive the village and attract work opportunities for locals and tourists. The hotel complex is spread out on a vast area and the rooms are divided into separate areas. There are libraries, restaurants, an award-winning spa, and beautiful rooms for the ultimate relaxation experience!
Aristotelio – Pedoulas Village
At Aristotelio Hotel, you will find luxurious accommodation, a warm welcoming, and absolutely incredible cuisine! The rooms at Aristotelio are practically perfect as they combine tradition with a modern and lavish edge! You will not want to leave your spacious room, with its own fireplace, impeccable interior design, and a balcony overlooking the green surroundings and mountain views.
There are different options for your needs and budget – 2 exclusive suites, two luxury suites with a living room, and 4 junior and small suites. The exclusive suites have their own large jacuzzi too in the bathroom!
Farmakas Living – Farmakas Village
I adored the simple but elegant furnishings and the large and comfortable size of the rooms at Farmakas Living. The kitchenette is fully equipped to cook small meals – so perfect for budget travelers! There is a small parking area next to it too – a rarity in most villages. A big plus for me was the excellent heating in the rooms – I get so cranky when I am cold. Extra points for the very good internet and tv channel options too!
Where to stay in Cyprus – Larnaca District
Ample Places – Lefkara Village
The goal of this superior accommodation is simply. To enable travelers to experience what it is like to live, eat, and sleep in an authentic modern or rural house of a local, in a low-impact, educational, ecologically, and culturally sensitive accommodation. There are two houses at Ample Places – ”Polytimo” (Precious) and ”Monadiko” (One of a kind). They are built for comfort and space – with enormous living and dining room areas with a fireplace and fully equipped kitchens. One sleeps 4 – it has two bedrooms (double bed, 2 single beds) and the other sleeps 5 – it has one bedroom with 3 beds (2 single and 1 double)
Modus Vivendi – Psematismenos Village
Modus Vivendi is a cluster of restored listed buildings in the center of Psematismenos village. The main complex includes 5 units, 3 one-bedroom suites, and 2 studios and each one is more unique and beautiful than the last. For instance, Leuko, Ochre, Red, Loullaki, Terra Verde – all vary in size and color, but share one important factor – quality.
Where to stay in Cyprus – Limassol District
Oinou Strata – Vouni Village
My absolute favorite by far! Here, luxury and comfort are combined with absolute harmony. It is no wonder that Oinou Strata is the winner of the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2020. In this luxurious hotel of only 3 suites, everything is perfect – from china on the table, to the beds, Jacuzzi, and exclusive wine bar!
Firstly, let’s talk about these impossibly perfect rooms that are huge in size, luxe, and fabulous! The beds are amazing, there is also a dining area, living room, private veranda, and a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi and a separate shower. Oinou Strata is an adults-only hotel, and perfectly designed for romantic next-level stays.
The breakfast is breakfast in bed, and a huge spread of goodies will be waiting for you in your fridge inside the room daily! You will find individually wrapped containers with fresh orange juice, milk, bread, butter and jam, cheese, and other cold cuts! Additionally, yogurt with muesli, a Nespresso machine, toaster, and kettle. Perfection!
Oinoessa Traditional Boutique Guest Houses – Lofou Village
Simply…wow! If you book one place in Lofou, let it be this one! Oinoessa is a complex of two luxurious stone-built houses, consisted of six deluxe studio apartments that surround a private courtyard. Here, you will find luxury, peace, and tranquillity: it is the perfect getaway from the stresses of modern life. Each suite is different – and again the details make them stand out!
Oenou Yi Cottages – Omodos Village
Oenou Yi Cottages are the brand new, utterly gorgeous new kid in town right in the center of the village! There are many different cottages to choose from – varying in size- but one thing that remains the same is the attention to detail and their comfort
You will want for nothing here, the cottages are fully equipped, tastefully furnished, and provide all modern and luxe amenities with a flair and an agro touristic twist!
BOOK OENOY YI COTTAGES. The cottages are not yet advertised to the public! All readers of Tia Does Travel can call and book a cottage house by email or phone! Reservations: email at bookings@oenouyi.wine phone number: 99746674
Arsorama – Arsos Village
Arsorama is a beautiful complex that has been fully renovated to4 houses with incredible standards. Here, Zoe’s attention to detail and deep connection to her roots shines through. As a result, everything has been well thought of – from the lush garden to the interior design, kitchens, living rooms, mattresses, and so on!
The perfect central location, right in the center of the village, it is popular with families, couples, and meditation and yoga enthusiasts looking for an oasis to escape to.
Where to stay in Cyprus – Paphos District
Kaizer Agrotourism – Amargeti Village
I really loved my stay here, and I was positively impressed by the standard of the rooms, and the hospitality! These old stone houses are beautifully renovated, preserved, and furnished! The rooms are named after members of the family ( a personal touch i loved!) like the “Despina” suite – which is where I stayed – the “Eleni” suite and “Neophytou” Economy room.
The suites overlook the beautiful outdoor wellness ozone spa pool with natural salt. The lush green garden with a huge olive tree in the center is a trademark of Kaizer! In addition, you will find outdoor seating areas, for sunbathing, dining, and relaxing.
The Rooms
You will love the impeccably clean, huge rooms and the tall beds, – the kind of beds you have to climb to get into. Other perks include a safe box, A/C, Central heating, fireplace (Eleni Suite), fridge, towels, and Kitchenette (in the suites)

Oh you will loooove Kaizer! So glad to hear you have traveled here often – us Cypriots adore Greece too!
I absolutely love getting a local’s perspective on an area. The ones that really speak to me are Lynhos and Modus Vivendi, which have such a wonderful homely feel.
difinitely true – i stayed in every single one and they really do! Lyhnos is such a dream!
I have never been to Cyprus but would love to one day. I love these accommodations, especially the boutique hotel in Lofou Village. It appears so cosy! I will ensure to park this for when I go.
Great post and I love your photos. Cyprus looks like an amazing place to travel, I’ll definitely be adding it to my list to travel after Covid!
These accommodations look so lovely. What a luxury treatment at some. Haven’t been to Cyprus yet. hopefully someday.

Wow~ I want to stay at all of these, but I think Oinou Strata is my favorite! This makes me so wanna visit Cyprus!
Lots of stone and tiles in Cyprus accommodation. That is not a criticism, it is what makes this accommodation unique. Thanks for the tips on where to stay I am looking forward to get to Cyprus one day.
