In this article, I will list a few suggested accommodations on where to stay in Milos in different parts of the island.
Once you have decided on the area of your choice, my suggestions will help you decide on your ideal accommodation on the Island!
In general, the island doesn’t offer too many luxury accommodations and because everything sells out quickly, prices don’t tend to be cheap, especially during the high season.

How Do You Move In Milos? Do you need a car for Milos?
Yes, you absolutely do need a car in Milos.
This island is enjoyed best with a solid vehicle as it is famous for its many beaches.
Alas, some of them are difficult to access and rather dangerous on a scooter.
It is not the kind of island you can walk around and limiting yourself to an area will hinder your chances of enjoying this breathtaking island at its best.
Additionally, invest in a GPS or Google Maps on your smartphone so you can easily navigate around the island.
Which area is the best to stay in Milos?
Below, I am recommending specific hotels in the key areas of the island. At the same time, I am giving you reasons to choose specific areas according to your needs and preferences!
All the hotels below are linked so you can check them out straight away. If however, you want to do some additional searching of your own, you can search for more Milos Accommodation options here
1. Milos Accommodation Areas – Adamantas Village
Adamantas was my chosen area to stay in Milos.
It is the largest and busiest part of the island and is located at the main port of Milos. As a result, it is equipped with everything you need!
On the main strip, you will find Car rental/ boat tour companies, trendy boutiques, hotels, cocktail bars, and restaurants/ cafes.
I used the car to beach hop the island in the daytime. In the evenings, I walked the busy streets of Adamas.
We ate at the many restaurants, window shopped the boutiques, visited the church, etc. For me, staying centrally made my trip easier!
In Adamantas, there are two beaches – Adama’s Beach and Lagada Beach. Because of its central location, you can drive to all the other corners of the island within 20-30 minutes.
The is also the beautiful Church of Ayios Charalambos and two museums that you can visit.
In conclusion, this is an extremely convenient accommodation area!
Recommended Stay in Adamantas
Anastasia’s Studios
This is a studio apartment, and although not a luxury hotel, I loved my stay here!
The rooms are on the top of a hill right next to the church of Ayios Charalambos. You can walk down to the main Adamas square in 2 minutes.
There is available parking, free Wifi, a balcony, and a small kitchenette.
The rooms are spacious and cleaner than most hotel rooms! Truly spotless and typically Greek!
To top it off Mrs. Anastasia – the owner – is so incredibly sweet, and eager to help with recommendations and directions! She is practically the Greek grandma you never had (or already have).
I Definitely recommend Anastasias Studios! It has an 8.2 review on Booking by the way, so it’s not just me!

Other gorgeous hotels in Adamas
(that were fully booked during my stay)
Portiani Hotel – with an 8.9 rating on Booking, Portiani sells out months in advance! It is a traditional centrally located hotel, 400 m from the beach, that costs around 60-100 euros per night for a double room.
Santa Maria Village – with a 9.2 rating on Booking, the 4* Santa Maria is surprisingly well priced at approximately 140 euros per night for a double room! in a mere 450 m, you will find yourself on the beach!
2. Milos Accommodation – Pollonia Area
Pollonia is situated on the Northern tip of the island at a 10 km distance from Adamas.
It is a quiet picturesque fishing village that is on the quieter side but still offers many amenities on the island.
A lot of families choose Pollonia as it offers protected golden sandy beaches with shallow waters, a playground in the middle of the town, and many traditional Greek taverns by the waterfront.
I had a lovely sunset dinner in a tavern there and the views were spectacular! The fish taverns are also highly recommended.
If you are looking for a quieter area with incredible views, a beautiful harbor, and happy children’s voices, Pollonia is the area for you.
Recommended stay in Pollonia
Airbnb: Villa Gallis. This villa is a complete bargain at 90 euros a night for a double room, especially as it has an impressive 9.3 rating on booking! Coincidently it is 750m from the beach.
Mid-Luxury Hotel Glaronissia Rooms & Suites. Glaronissia is a 3* hotel 500m from the beach. It has an 8.9 rating, and is priced fabulously at around 130 euros per night for a double!
Luxury: Milos Breeze Boutique Hotel. This is a fantastic luxurious 4* hotel, that is only 300m from the beach and has a 9.5 rating on Booking. The prices here are higher, at around 300 per night, but check the link for discounts and last-minute lower prices!
3. Milos Accommodation: Plaka Area
Plaka is the main capital of Milos and a 5 km drive from the Adamas Port.
It’s not only beautiful, but it also offers amazing Traditional Meze taverns and beautiful cafes.
Importantly, the most spectacular sunset in Milos can be enjoyed from the terraced cafes in Plaka!
It’s quaint and typically Greek – with whitewashed houses with blue doors and windows.
In Plaka, you will also find many souvenir shops (as with Pollonia and Adamantas), local produce, and many craft shops.
You can also plan a visit to the nearby Archaeological museums and the Venetian medieval castle. Plaka hasn’t got a ”nearby” beach but if you have a car rental then it’s not a problem!
Recommended Stay in Plaka
Airbnb: Plaka Suites Holiday Home. With a 9.3 rating, this is another property that sells out well in advance! it is 950 m from the beach, and prices start at 250 euros per night!
Is Milos Safe?
Milos is an extremely safe place for tourists, and a fantastic island for couples and families too!

Milos has become one of my favorite islands in Greece! Definitely an island worth visiting, for the impressive beaches alone!
Add beautiful accommodation, good quality food, and stunning Greek beauty and you got yourself a winner!
